Belgrade, December 30th<\/sup>, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The annual session of the Business Council for Diaspora was held at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, traditionally bringing together representatives of the diaspora, the domestic business community, and local and national institutions to enhance cooperation and create new business and investment opportunities for Serbia.

<\/p>

For Returning Point, this session is particularly significant as it provides an opportunity for direct networking with key stakeholders from the diaspora and the domestic economy, as well as insights into current projects and initiatives. During the session, Mihailo Vesovi\u0107, Deputy President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and \u0110or\u0111e Mili\u0107evi\u0107, Minister without portfolio responsible for relations with the diaspora, emphasized the importance of continuous cooperation with the diaspora in the context of Serbia\u2019s further economic development.

<\/p>

On this occasion, new digital tools developed by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce were also presented, including the Market Plus platform and the Digital Exporters Catalogue, which enhance the visibility of companies and facilitate connections between businesses in Serbia and the diaspora, further encouraging investment, innovation, and international cooperation. Sne\u017eana Antonijevi\u0107, Advisor for Cooperation with the Diaspora at Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, highlighted that the diaspora represents one of the key actors in Serbia\u2019s sustainable development and emphasized the importance of continuous institutional support and stronger connections with professionals abroad.

<\/p>

Uro\u0161 \u017divkovi\u0107, Program Director at Returning Point, presented the initiative\u2019s activities over the past period, with particular focus on the support provided to returnees \u2013 from information on administrative procedures and diploma recognition, to issues related to family relocation and children\u2019s education, as well as the development of a returnee community that serves as an important support network and a \u201clanding spot\u201d during the reintegration process. He also underlined the importance of the Serbian Expat Meetups<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, events that connect members of the diaspora and returnees through experience-sharing and networking.

<\/p>

Speaking about long-term cooperation, he emphasized the importance of the partnership with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce over the past five years and expressed gratitude for the continuous support and trust in positioning Returning Point as part of this business ecosystem. Such cooperation between institutions, organizations, and the diaspora creates a stable framework for strengthening ties with Serbian professionals abroad and for developing initiatives that contribute to Serbia\u2019s competitiveness and sustainable growth.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
